HDMICABLE

Check all your TV connections, sometimes your TV trouble is a simple wire connection that has come off. So unplug any cables and connect back, making sure there is a secure connection.  Depending on how many pieces of equipment you may have, this may take a few minutes, but check all connections to make sure something has not just come loose.  Then we need to start one by one changing out cables to new cables.  Sometimes cables go bad it happens, always have a back up if you are an avid T.V. watcher and don’t want to be without T.V.

This is an HDMI CABLE.  This gives you a picture and sound.  If you are without one or the other or both, this cable may be bad or going out.  You can purchase one on the link below.

AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable, 25 Feet, 1-Pack

And for those of you that do not have an HDMI, but you have instead RCA Cables

the Yellow, White, and Red cables.  Some of you may also have just Red and White, these are for Audio… But I bet you didn’t know.. that you can use these still to for video if your Yellow cable happens to go out.. They do the same job.. bring the signal.  So that means you could put your white cable in the yellow video spot, as if it were a yellow cable.    You can purchase these cables on the link below. You may have these devices connected to your television, VCR, DVD, Stereo Systems, or gaming consoles.

RiteAV RCA Audio Video Cable (6 feet)

If this cable fails you can always go to RCA cables until you are able to replace it.  This cable gives you a better quality picture than your RCA cables.
Some of you may actually have an S-Cable, these cable controls video, your picture.

25 feet Gold Plated S-Video Cable

Help No Sound On My Roku

Roku Express | 5X more powerful HD Streaming (2017)

My mom called me this Sunday and said.. What do I do? I have no sound on my Roku Player…

First Questions.. have you been messing with it today any cleaning or moving of the player???

No.. Just came home and turned on No Sound..

First.. Get Your TV.. Remote, not your Roku remote, your TV remote and try turning up the sound… do you see the bar across the bottom of the TV going up… If you do and still no sound.. make sure you have not hit the mute button by accident either..

Next fix… lets reboot the Roku.. power on and off, the Roku does not have a power button, so the easiet way is to unplug from the power source.

My mom was not sure which one was the power source was.. so lets do colors, not the YELLOW, RED, OR WHITE CABLE, OR TEH RECTANGULAR OPENING, lets do the black cable that goes to the wall for power its a circle opening.

It did take a few minutes for her to get this but she powered off the Roku, by unplugging, and when the ROKU finished rebooting, sound back on.  The Roku Splash Screen, the reboot screen is the word Roku jumping up and down.

The Roku also has a reset button but you must have something small to push it in like a pin, paperclip, but for me I always use a earring.. 🙂

back of roku

The AC Power button is all the way to the left of this picture.

This was the fix for my moms problem with no sound, it could be yours try it out.

and if your not familiar with ROKU..

What is Roku?

Roku makes it easy to enjoy the hottest movies, TV shows, music, games and more on your TV. Millions of people use their Roku players every day to watch their favorite entertainment instantly and on demand.

So if you are paying for cable TV, or satellite TV, this is an awesome way for you to reduce your monthly expenses..

One of my issues with cable is if you work, you dont have time to watch all of the TV that you pay for.

Even if you have a DVR, there are still only so many hours in the day for you to watch recorded shows.

So I got a Roku and bought two for my mom and one for my sister.  They both have internet but no Cable Service Television.

So now they have Roku, with Roku they can watch Netflix, from their televisions.

With Roku there are no monthly fees, with certain channels, many channels are FREE….

YES FREE..

There are some channels that cost but most cost are very minimal if you want to watch a special segment of shows.

With Netflix there is a month cost.  This is what we and my mom watch most now.

Netflix just raised its prices from $7.99 per month to $8.99 per month, increasing its yearly cost from $95.88 to $107.88.

There are some other options with Netflix that are more if you will be renting DVDS or GAMES…

But in comparsion with cable, this cost is minimal.  Even basic cable services can cost you up to or more around $600.00 a year.
